Here’s how AI can help:

  • Find health problems sooner so members get the care they need.
  • Make paperwork simpler so doctors and nurses can spend more time with patients. We never use AI to replace a doctor’s findings or deny care.
  • Make health information easier to understand.

At BCBSMT, we believe people should always guide AI. AI supports decisions-it doesn't replace human judgment.

We also use non-sensitive or anonymous data in AI models when possible. Our policies make sure AI is used responsibly and that we follow the law.

How We Use AI

AI tools help members get answers faster so that you spend less time on hold when you call. For complex calls, AI sends them to our most skilled customer advocates. We also use chatbots to help members find benefits and plan details easily.

Claims Processing
AI helps process claims quickly and accurately. It can auto-approve some requests or alert staff if something looks wrong. We never use AI to replace medical findings or deny care.
